World United is a sole-proprietor International Educational and Cultural Exchange Organization (W.A.W.U or W.U) founded by Manuel Dume' (Manny). The W.U brand   based in Los Angeles County, California. Manuel (Manny) Dume's personal "World United" brand has a lineage of 1977 in the village of Tongduchon, South Korea when Manny served as a soldier and taught English to orphan children.

The World United Cultural travel programs initiated in summer of 2006 after Manny joined Cultural Homestay International (CHI) as the community coordinator for the North Western Region in 2005. The vision of World United is to establish International friendships that last a lifetime and promote World Peace, Love, Unity and Mutual Understanding.

 

2025 World United will be celebrating its 20th year anniversary and launching its registered brands that have been in the making the past two decades: Dumecology, Dumecologist, Merrill's Marauders and all the cultural travel Intensive English Language Programs (I.E.P) that are facilitated while the participants travel to exciting destinations, the only I.E.P program of its kind in the world. 

 

World United has always facilitated its Cultural programs under a doctrine of non-accumulation and vows of poverty. Its financial needs have always been met by the support of visible and anonymous "Alumni of those taught by the Brothers of Christian Instruction", (M.A.I & Denis Hall), U.S Army veterans of the 75th Ranger Regiment and their supporters, and Alumni of World United.  This year (2024) marks the 19th year anniversary of this particular endeavor resulting in the growth of an Alumni Group of over 2,000 young men and women from more than 40 countries. Every Alumni has a special achievement in common, they have traveled throughout the United States on World United Cultural Travel Programs together with the founder Manny Dume', or have been welcomed to the United States by him by way of World United's "Welcome to America Project." The World United Alumni group of 2005 to 2024 are known as the original founding members of the "World United Educational and Cultural Exchange Organization" some of these Alumni members are partners of World United U.S.A and World United China. In the next 36 months World United will also be completely incorporated in 20 other countries, World United will establish partnerships with northern hemisphere Alumni members in Korea, Thailand, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Serbia, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine/from the southern hemisphere World United will establish partnerships with Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chili and Costa Rica.
